KADPOLY Expels 63 Students, Suspends 36 Over Examination Malpractice & Fraudulent Admissions

In a decisive move to uphold academic integrity, Kaduna Polytechnic has expelled 63 students and suspended 36 others for various academic offences including examination malpractice and fraudulent admission for the 2024/25 academic session. 

Details of the Sanctions

The decision followed the recommendations of two investigative panels — the Fraudulent Admission and Related Matters Investigation Committee (FARMIC) and the Examination Misconduct Cases and Malpractice Committee (EMCMC). 

The institution’s 114th Academic Board meeting held on 30 April 2025 ratified the recommendations. 

Among those expelled are:

Lawrence Samuel Anto (Building Technology)

Fauziya Abdulrahman Buba (Mass Communication)

Ibrahim Muhammed Nazeer (Civil Engineering) 

The offences cited include impersonation, collusion, use of prohibited materials during examinations, and admission obtained through fraudulent documentation. 

Institution’s Response & Message

The Polytechnic reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on academic misconduct, emphasising that any act capable of undermining academic standards would attract the severest sanctions.  The institution urged students and stakeholders to ensure honesty and integrity in all academic engagements.

What This Means for Students

Affected students have had their admissions withdrawn and are no longer part of the institution’s student body. 

Others suspended remain under caution and may face further disciplinary action or clearance conditions.

Prospective and current students are reminded to adhere strictly to examination rules, registration regulations, and admission protocols.

The action sends a strong message: institutions are actively monitoring and enforcing standards to protect the value of their qualifications.
